The main target of the program is to provide psychosocial support to people dealing with drug and alcohol addiction problems as well as problems with gambling

Namely, the program is addressed to:

  • people with addiction problems that typically seek help from a treatment program
  • people with addiction problems that maintain a level of functionality in their lives and have never sought help from a treatment program before
  • people with addiction problems and co – occurring disorders
  • members of self-help groups for addiction
  • members from substitution programs (aka Greek Organization Against Drugs)

The program is non – residential, there are no waiting lists or drug substitutes and all our services are free of charge.

The basic features of the program are:

  • the individualized services tailored to the needs and the life stage of the person
  • the formulation of the therapeutic plan by both professionals and the stakeholder
  • the minimization of motivation control processes in the early stage of recovery
  • emphasis on the establishment of relations of mutual trust as fundamental basis of the recovery process
  • the active participation of stakeholders in all stages of recovery

The activities we develop for psychosocial support are the following:

  • Support center for people with addiction problems
  • Support groups for people dealing with addiction problems
  • Motivation enhancement sessions
  • Support in educational, legal, medical and vocational issues
  • Cultural, social and ecological activities
  • Computer and foreign language courses
  • Organized activities founded upon the principle of solidarity towards the local communities in which our programs are sited
  • Awareness in self – help/mutual aid philosophy
  • Support in social and occupational integration
  • Psychosocial support for people with psychosocial problems apart from addiction
