From the beginning of its operation, the Self-Help Promotion Program has set as one of its main objectives the awareness and training of health workers and citizens of other specialties in the concept and applications of self-help / mutual aid. The aim of the training is twofold: to develop similar interventions in the areas of responsibility of the health workers concerned and to strengthen the program’s network of similar structures, services and key persons in the community. In this context, integrated cycles of training seminars on the applications of self-help/mutual aid in the treatment of addiction and other psychosocial problems are designed and implemented.
